Nestled in the heart of the Sablon in Brussels, our boutique-atelier naturally forms part of the neighbourhood’s artistic fabric. Here, nothing is rushed. Every detail is considered to create a space that is both lively and peaceful, reflecting the nature of our work. People come to discover materials, try on frames, talk about style or simply take the time to imagine the right frame together. Materials with a story

At Ludovic Elens, even materials have something to tell. Some of the woods we use are more than a hundred years old, passed down through generations of craftspeople. Our buffalo horn, naturally supple and comfortable, comes from India. The acetate is made in Italy, our nickel silver is as pleasing to the eye as it is to the touch, and aluminium offers precise lightness. And we continue to explore, always ready to test new techniques or materials. Here, every material is chosen for its quality, origin and the way it lends itself to being shaped. Nothing is left to chance.

Our story

Founded in 2015 by Ludovic Elens, our atelier is aMaison d'artisans specialising in the creation of bespoke and made-to-measure spectacles through our Jazz Collection. In our atelier in the heart of Brussels, we design frames meticulously shaped by hand. At Ludovic Elens, every pair begins with a conversation - an exploration of the client’s needs, style, desires and personality. Guided by this understanding, we transform the most suitable materials into spectacles as unique as those who wear them.

Each frame embodies the balance at the heart of our Maison d'Artisans– between timeless craftsmanship and elegant contemporary aesthetics. Every detail – from angles and proportions to technical elements – is refined with care and precision. Rather than following trends or pursuing volume, at Ludovic Elens we focus on creating eyewear designed to be both beautiful and comfortable, for many years to come.

Recognised by a loyal clientele across Belgium, the reputation of the Maison d’Artisans now extends increasingly throughout Europe, the Middle East and the United States.
